On Saturday, May 10, I will be on WGN – the great radio station in downtown Chicago! Tune into the Steve and Johnny Show at 10:00 PM on WGN Radio 720. I'll be joined by Rich Lackowski on percussion/vocals, and we'll play a few songs and talk about “Stories I Only Tell My Friends” with this legendary husband-and-wife duo in Chicago radio.
Earlier that day, on May 10 at 4:00-6:00 PM, I'll be making my debut at Madame Zuzu's Teahouse (Billy Corgan's cafe in the Highland Park area of Chicago). I'll be part of its Songwriters Circle in the Round together with Ellis Clark, Greg Oguss, Leah Shoshanah, and host Albie Powers.
On Saturday, May 17 at 6:00 PM, I'm bring my band to play at Molly's House Concerts in Lincolnwood (Chicago). Many great artists, both local and international, have come through Molly's super cool and vibey retro-designed space.
Rich and I had the honor to be interviewed on the Strung Out podcast, which is a podcast series on mainly Chicago songwriters (but also other songwriting-related topics), and it's hosted by Marty McCormack from Switchback. He's a great musician, painter and interviewer. In two episodes, we discuss my approach to songwriting, Rich and I being married musicians, and we play a few songs.
Here's the YouTube link and the audio-only version.
The album has received so many great press reviews and play on radio stations in the U.S. and Europe. The summer is filled with shows, festivals and house concerts in Chicago, but I'm also working on dates in other parts of the Mid-West! Stay tuned…
